or: The few things you configure once so vanilla9 behaves properly
This is not a control panel for a nuclear power plant. Just a few options so vanilla9 behaves the way you want it to.
Theme
Here you choose whether the interface is light or dark.
– Light – good in bright daylight
– Dark – easier on the eyes, good for night work and for people who simply prefer darker UIs
In short: your eyes, your decision.
Language
Here you decide which language the app interface uses.
Currently available:
🇩🇪 German
🇬🇧 English
This only affects the vanilla9 interface. Your tasks can of course be written in whatever language you want.
vLine Default Context
This determines where new entries go if you are not currently inside a specific section.
Example: you are on the home page and quickly write a task in the vLine.
If no context is active, vanilla9 uses the default context. In the screenshot for example: Todos (Default).
That way new entries automatically land there instead of disappearing somewhere in the digital Bermuda Triangle.
Week Start
Defines which day your week begins.
– Monday – the ISO 8601 standard. Europe says: first work, then exist.
– Sunday – for calendars that start worrying about Monday before it even arrives.
This setting affects calendar and heatmap views.
In short: this is where you decide when your week officially begins to look productive.
